Wellcom’s biometric authentication technology center was established in March 2002. The center focuses on R&D of biometric technology and biometric product. Its core technologies are fingerprint identification technology and finger vein recognition technology. Driven by market demand, taking products and? ?efficiency as center, in recent years the center has actively made many innovations. The center has developed a number of biometric products with independent intellectual property rights such as bank teller identity authentication system, drivers’ IC card fingerprint identification management systems, fingerprint identification module, general fingerprint scanner and reader, finger mouse, fingerprint access control, fingerprint USB Key, Intelligent electronic customer bill systems etc.

At present, in aspect of fingerprint authentication technology and products,? the Technology Center has won 1 national invention patent, 2 state-level key and new products title, over 20 various national utility model patents, 5 provincial (ministry) level high-tech achievements, 11 software products title etc.
